What is an Apprenticeship
An Apprenticeship traditionally known as workbased learning is the name given to the qualifications that are carried out mainly in the workplace.
They are designed around the skills your employees need at work and cover all 'types' and levels of work. The most common levels carried out are Level 2 Apprenticeships and Level 3 qualification, known as an Advanced Apprenticeship. The Advanced Apprenticeships are for learners who have some form of responsibility in their job and will be developing skills to become a team leader/ supervisor. Every Apprenticeship is made up of the same three components. These include the NVQ (National Vocational Qualification), Technical Certificate and Key Skills, which combine together to provide a framework of development for your employee.
