The origins of Yorkshire Coast College date back as far as 1882, when the Scarborough School of Art was established. Later, in 1938, through mergers with the Evening Institutes, we became Scarborough Technical Institute.
Lady Edith's Drive Campus was first occupied in 1960, and it grew in size and curriculum provision until 1992 when the name was changed to Yorkshire Coast College.
We now have our main site at Lady Edith's Drive, Scarborough, our Creative Arts Campus at Westwood, Scarborough, and we also occupy workshops at Plaxton Park, Eastfield.
Yorkshire Coast College delivers training at employers' premises, and works in partnership with local organisations to deliver adult learning in the heart of the community.
